Before you take a tool in your hand consider for whom do you want to build a pond now.
For your children these in summer want to splash in the water only.
For your wife which will enjoy the beautiful aquatic plants.
Maybe you want to build a new home for fishes.
Or for your immediate neighbour who also has a little garden pond and now hi must bend over the fence, to see jealously you built a pond in a better way.

But who does have these conditions where just all this is correct? Have a look at your property and decide where the pond should be. There is a solution for everything.
Shape the pond edge with a rope or garden tube if you have found a place. The time is ripe now to involve your partner in your plan.
This hole will cost more money firstly then you think at the moment.
